We were asked by Top Flyte Stairs to manufacture a solid Ash handrail to go on an existing curved metal balustrade, located in Napier.

Such a nice feeling to finish last week completing another challenging staircase project. We manufactured and installed the balustrades as per client's requests, made from beautiful American Ash solid timber, finished in Osmo oil.

Recently a new library has emerged in Johnsonville (Wellington) named Waitohi Hub. This project was named, by New Zealand Institute Of Architects (NZIA), as “Outstanding examples of both Interior and Public architectural design” and won that award.

The Hutt Valley Health Hub is a $35 million project designed to withstand a one-in-2500-year seismic event and had opened last month. It was built on the former site of the Naenae Bowling Club, next to Hutt Hospital.

This week’s challenge – We have been asked to manufacture two rather large corbels for a restoration / overhaul project on a church in Petone Wellington. We have no plans or architects drawings to go by, just a one and only photo which is fuzzy. With a bit of planning, pattern making and a faithful SCM overhead router, bandsaw and a skillful hand we set to work.
